Mary and Jenna were so excited for their camping trip to the beach. The cousins had been planning it all summer, and now that it was finally happening they could hardly contain their joy.
The two girls packed up their sleeping bags and supplies, loaded them into the car, and drove off with Grants parents. After a few hours of driving, they finally reached the beach.
As soon as they arrived, Mary and Jenna wasted no time in setting up camp. They put up their tent near the shoreline, unpacked all of their gear, and set out exploring around the area. With Grant's help, they gathered some wood from nearby trees to make a fire pit in front of the tent. Soon enough a crackling fire was burning brightly in front of them toasting marshmallows for everyone to enjoy!
The three cousins stayed up late talking about all sorts of things until eventually exhaustion got the better of them and they decided to head back to bed for some much needed rest before continuing on with their adventures tomorrow morning.
The next day Mary, Jenna, and Grant woke up early feeling refreshed from a good night’s sleep. They grabbed some breakfast before heading out further along the beach where they noticed something strange – an entrance leading into a cave! This seemed like an exciting discovery so naturally curiosity kicked in as soon as they saw it...
The three of them cautiously entered the cave, holding their breath as they peered inside. It was dark and damp in there, but soon their eyes adjusted to the dim light and they could make out some strange shapes scattered around the floor. As they got closer, Mary and Jenna were shocked to realize that these were dinosaur eggs!
Grant was absolutely amazed by this discovery; he had never seen anything like it before! The girls agreed that this must be a very special place if it held such ancient creatures’ eggs. They decided to collect some of the eggs and take them back with them so they could show off their find when they returned home.
Carefully, Mary and Jenna each picked up a few eggs while Grant filled his pockets with any remaining ones he found. Once they felt like they had enough, the three cousins headed back outside into the sunlight – proud of their amazing discovery!
Before they left the beach, Mary and Jenna suggested one final activity: Singing campfire songs about dinosaurs! With Grant leading the way, they began singing a silly song about a T-Rex trying to make friends with other dinosaurs. Everyone laughed and sang along as the sun slowly disappeared into the horizon.
When it was finally time to leave, Mary and Jenna were sad but excited for their next camping adventure. They packed up all of their gear and said goodbye to the beach before heading home with happy hearts full of memories that would last a lifetime.
The End
